Saltgator Playbook: Fast, Flexible, and Mold-Friendly

Just like a traditional injection molding machine, Saltgator supports molds made from metal, artificial stone, plaster, and silicone. But it goes further — Saltgator is fully compatible with 3D-printed molds, including both FDM and SLA materials, even those that are typically heat-sensitive like PETG and PLA.

That means you no longer need to wait weeks or spend hundreds creating expensive molds. With a basic 3D printer and common materials, you can prototype molds in just a few hours — and scale or tweak your designs anytime.

The entire Saltgator workflow takes just 10 minutes from heating to injection, and only 3 minutes of cooling to get a finished part. By selecting different material hardness levels (e.g., 0A–10A for fishing lures), you can tailor the performance to different use cases.

Now let’s explore some of the creative ways people are using Saltgator in real projects.
